Driver/owner Federico Monti is an important figure behind the rise of Academy / Alex Caffi Motorsport, a team that the Naples native led since 2021 in partnership with Alex Caffi.

Monti is also a force to be reckoned in the Rookie Challenge division. A top contender since his debut in 2020, the Italian clinched his ultimate triumph in 2024 when he claimed the title after an epic battle in the NASCAR Euro Series Finals at Zolder in Belgium.

Monti also dabbled in V8GP and OPEN divisions, where he's a steady competitor for the Challenger and Legend Trophy respectively. The ambition to win Legend Trophy will be Monti's goal in 2026, where he returned to full-time status as the driver of the #5 Academy / Alex Caffi Motorsport Ford in OPEN.
