Thomas Krasonis made his NASCAR Euro Series debut in 2019 in the OPEN championship, becoming the first Greek driver to compete in the official European NASCAR championship. After sitting out of the 2020 season, Krasonis returned to OPEN in 2021 before he stepped up to V8GP in 2022.

Krasonis steadily gained experience over the years, but the Athens native was hungry for more. He therefore decided to double up and compete in both V8GP and OPEN in 2024. At the same time, the Greek joined forces with four-time V8GP champion Alon Day, who became his driver coach.

The partnership was a great success: Krasonis went on to finish third in the OPEN championship with the underdog team Marko Stipp Motorsport. He concluded his V8GP campaign in eighth, proving his versatility across both divisions.

For the 2025 season, Krasonis made a strategic move to PK Carsport, a top-tier team led by two-time EuroNASCAR champion Anthony Kumpen. Driving the #13 Chevrolet Camaro, Krasonis became the first Greek champion in the NASCAR Euro Series, winning the OPEN title in dominant fashion. Krasonis also finished 7th in the V8GP championship after scoring his maiden V8GP win in Valencia.

With further ambition to contend for top honors, Krasonis wants to further solidify his status as a leading figure in the series in 2026 where he'll be back in the cockpit of the #13 Chevrolet Camaro entered by PK Carsport.
