Michael Bleekemolen embodies the spirit of pure racing and the adage of "age is just a number". A former Formula 1 driver back in 1978, Bleekemolen made his debut in the NASCAR Euro Series in 2019 with his family team Team Bleekemolen in the OPEN division. At 69 years of age, the Dutchman was the oldest rookie in NASCAR Euro Series history.

After skipping 2020, Bleekemolen was back on the grid in 2021 and remained a staple in the OPEN division. He improved his record as the oldest driver on the grid with every race and remained competitive against the new wave of talent that joined the series.

Following a brief V8GP adventure in 2025, Bleekemolen returned to the OPEN division to continue his chase for the Legend Trophy with the #76 Toyota. Michael then gave room for his granddaughter Robin and Team Bleekemolen's new signing Beitske Visser to share the #76 Toyota in OPEN, opening the path for the 76-year old to race in V8GP once again.
