De Groot made a successful debut in NWES in 2021 subbing for an injured Michael Bleekemolen and won multiple times in the Legend Trophy.

  2022: Melvin De Groot is back in NWES full-time to chase the EuroNASCAR 2 title and the Legend Trophy. He finished the season on 7th in points and with the Legend Trophy season overall win

2023: De Groot is back with Race Planet Team Bleekemolen to chase the EuroNASCAR 2 title and the Legend Trophy. He finished the season on 8th in points and with another Legend Trophy season overall win

2024: De Groot is back with Race Planet Team Bleekemolen to chase the EuroNASCAR 2 title and the Legend Trophy.
