  • Garrett Lowe completed his second V8GP campaign with flying colors
  • A love for road course and oval racing helped Lowe to discover the NASCAR Euro Series
  • The American transformed himself into a prime contender at a young age

The NASCAR Euro Series features an unique balance between the thundering, hair raising roar of American motorsport and the amazing heritage of elite Grand Prix that attracts not only the most fervent European motorsport fanbase, but also drivers from around the world that want to experience this glorious mix of road course action and oval racing. For a driver like Garrett Lowe, who sharpened his skills on both disciplines in the virtual world with iRacing, the NASCAR Euro Series became the ideal series for him to start his rise as one of the most exciting young talents in the sport.

The American rose to prominence in front of his computer screen, where he developed his knack of driving the brute force, pure racing machines to its highest level. His talents on the ovals that primarily hosted the eNASCAR Coca Cola iRacing Series events is matched with his growing love for circuit racing. Therefore, when Lowe wanted to evolve himself as a “hybrid racer”, he turned his head to the NASCAR Euro Series and its combination of pure racing and door-to-door battles.

With the support of his sim racing team BS+COMPETITION, Lowe joined the NASCAR Recruitment Test to prepare for his V8GP debut in 2025. Joining the top division, where the best drivers are gathered together in the same grid, would be a huge undertaking for many drivers, but for an elite talent like Lowe, he managed to adjust himself to the cutthroat world of NASCAR Euro Series with little difficulty.

Lowe fought the championship contenders right from his first races in Spain and he accomplished his first podium finishes by the middle of the season. A sixth place finish in the standings was a good foundation for the BS+BREMOTION driver heading to his sophomore season, where he evolved his credibility even further.

Two Stromwatches.com Pole Awards in tricky conditions at Brands Hatch and the Finals in Belgium demonstrated Lowe’s capabilities behind the wheel of a pure racing machine. In fact, a repeat of his sixth place finish in the standings didn’t tell the whole story: Lowe challenged Vittorio Ghirelli – the recently crowned three-time V8GP champion – for the entire year and kept his title hopes all the way to the end, where his chances were dashed with an unfortunate mechanical issue that cost him plenty of points in the double points showdown.

With his speed becoming faster at every turn, there’s no doubt that Lowe is going to secure that elusive first win sooner than later. The sky is the limit for the American and it all started from his love of the two most competitive motorsport disciplines on the planes.

“I chose the NASCAR Euro Series because road courses have always been a lot of fun for me,” said the Gastonia native. “I’ve always enjoyed it and stock cars are where I’ve always wanted to be, so it was the best of both worlds. It just happened to be a good combination and I love every moment here.”
