The NASCAR Euro Series witnessed that trademark energy firsthand at the 2026 NASCAR GP Italy, where a sold-out crowd packed the grandstands at Autodromo di Vallelunga – one of the most distinctive venues on the calendar. Tens of thousands of fans converged on the historic circuit just north of Rome to take in four thunderous, pure V8 Semi-Final rounds to kick off the 2026 Playoffs, embracing a full weekend of world-class racing and family entertainment.
Waving the il tricolore proudly, spectators filled the main straightaway grandstands to absolute capacity, leaving not a single empty seat in sight. Across the weekend, families gathered inside the wide-open NASCAR Euro Series paddock to get up close and personal with their racing heroes. Italian powerhouse outfits threw their garage doors wide open: CAAL Racing hosted a bustling hospitality suite atop the pit building, Club Motorsport served up local hospitality in their paddock display, and the Academy / Alex Caffi Motorsport crew welcomed the tifosi with open arms – reinforcing the open-access fan experience unique to NASCAR in Europe.
Sunday’s pre-race ceremonies electrified the grid as a live saxophone performance delivered stirring renditions of both the Italian and United States national anthems before roaring grandstands. The festivities began early on Thursday when a police-escorted parade of thunderous EuroNASCAR machinery roared over public roads directly into the historic city center of Campagnano di Roma. Drivers and teams mingled with local fans, signed autographs, and turned the town square into an unforgettable street party.
On the track, the 4.085-kilometer circuit delivered door-to-door excitement across its twin high-speed complexes and winding, technical final sector. With double championship points on the line for the first time in the 2026 Playoffs, the drivers held nothing back, trading paint and orchestrating daring overtakes that kept the tifosi on their feet until the final checkered flag. The 2026 NASCAR GP Italy delivered an unforgettable spectacle at the gates of Rome.
