After gaining experience in the first three rounds at Spain, France and the UK, Hunter Aviation is set to expand their efforts with the addition of the #56 Chevrolet Camaro. To prepare for the new car’s debut, the Canadian outfit took the car for a test at Circuits de Vendee in Fontenay to get it geared up for the last round of the regular season.

Hunter Aviation is spearheaded by former fighter pilot Andre Lortie, who is driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence and performance. The lifelong aviation phenom brings his high-flying pedigree to the world of pure racing and has steadily improved in his first season of NASCAR Euro Series racing. Lortie maximized his track time with participation in V8GP, OPEN and Rookie Challenge, a strategic move that demonstrated his passion for high-powered beasts with no driving aids.

The Canadian team has already fielded the #16 Chevrolet Camaro and the #86 Chevrolet Camaro in the first three rounds. Therefore, the decision to add the #56 Chevrolet Camaro is more than a statement: It’s proof that Hunter Aviation wants to develop itself as a well-established outfit in European NASCAR racing.

The #56 Chevrolet Camaro will not be the only new entrants for the NASCAR GP Czech Republic. Joining Hunter Aviation’s new machine is the #26 Ford Mustang entered by famed French outfit RDV Competition, who will feature Ofek Eliyahu in the driver’s seat of the OPEN division. Already a competitor in Rookie Challenge, the Israeli is taking his talents into the next level and joins OPEN with the guidance of former V8GP Champion Loris Hezemans and legendary team manager Franck Violas, who has managed some of the sport’s best drivers.
