“2026 is a good season so far after struggling for two seasons,” said Vladimiros Tziortzis at the beginning of the NASCAR Euro Series summer break. The Speedhouse driver found his way back to top-tier grip and form in the first three events of the year, competing at the front in both the V8GP championship and the OPEN division. The Cypriot is determined to keep the momentum rolling and praises the hard work his Speedhouse team put into the project to make the turnaround a complete success.
Finishing 12th in the 2024 V8GP season and eighth overall in the 2025 championship wasn’t where Tziortzis wanted to end up. After racking up two V8GP podiums and five OPEN race wins – alongside a runner-up finish in the final standings earlier in his career – the Cypriot wanted to take the next step and win the championship crown. Bad luck and a lack of momentum derailed his path over the past two years, but in 2026, the experienced driver looks to be right back where he belongs.

One top-5 and two top-10 results in V8GP, alongside a pole position, a podium and consistent top-5 finishes in OPEN, have put the #6 Speedhouse car in a strong position heading into the summer break. At the regular season finale at Autodrom Most on August 29-30, Tziortzis aims to make the final push to establish himself as a legitimate title contender ahead of the Playoffs. The 29-year-old has already proven he has what it takes; now, it’s all about maintaining that momentum and extracting maximum performance out of his Speedhouse machine.
Asked if the current season marks a significant step forward, he answered: “Exactly, 2026 is a good season so far after struggling for two seasons. I have believed in Speedhouse since last year, and I knew that the time for a comeback would arrive soon – that’s why I renewed my contract with them this year. It is a team that works non-stop on all the aspects a driver needs to succeed, which is very important nowadays.”
“I’m happy with the current season and our progress, but it’s still not everything we deserve to achieve with Speedhouse. The current goal is to achieve what we truly deserve from Most onward,” said the motivated Cypriot, who worked tirelessly over the winter to secure crucial backing through extensive sponsor and marketing work. Now, he’s hungry to back up that business hustle with sporting results and re-establish himself as a powerhouse in European NASCAR racing.

Reflecting on his return to the front of the grid, Tziortzis credits: “The hard work of the team and the patience of everyone in the team until we found the correct setups. Entering a new team is not the simplest thing; sometimes it takes some time in order for everything to come together for the best result, and this is visible now in 2026.”
With those critical steps already taken, he is setting his sights even higher for the remainder of the year: “My goals for the second half of the season are to finish in the top three of the V8GP overall championship standings and, of course, to finally win the OPEN title, as we have deserved it for a few years now.”
Before climbing back into the cockpit of the #6 car, Tziortzis will follow a rigorous preparation routine to ensure he is fully ready for the crucial part of the season in late August.

“My summer break includes fitness training once a day – both cardio and strength –, except Sundays plus practice on Saturdays with my KZ2 kart. On Sundays, what relaxes me most are road trips into the mountains or swimming in the crystal-clear waters under the hot, 40-degree sun.”
“At the same time, this is the period of the year where I’m attending networking events to start preparing for my 2027 season, and we are also shooting new campaign videos that will be released in a few days.”
Tziortzis is working non-stop alongside Speedhouse to leave a lasting mark on the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series. The action resumes on August 29-30 with the high-stakes regular season finale at Autodrom Most in Czechia, after which all drivers will drop their worst single result ahead of the postseason push.
