The #11 Alumitec Racing team, driven by Gianmarco Ercoli and Raphael Lessard, was excluded from V8GP Round 5, V8GP Round 6 and OPEN Round 5 for refusal of inspections
Stewards have excluded the #11 Alumitec Racing Ford Mustang team, driven by Gianmarco Ercoli and Raphael Lessard, from the V8GP events and OPEN Round 5 held in the 2026 NASCAR GP UK at Brands Hatch.
Alumitec Racing was judged to have refused technical inspections to the #11 car when the team replaced an engine after V8GP Round 6. According to the NASCAR Euro Series Technical Regulation Article 19, the official technical delegation came to the Alumitec Racing pit box to collect the dismounted engine for inspections. Team members refused the collection of said engine by technical delegate, therefore confirming a refusal of inspections.
The decision was made according to Article 20 of the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series Technical Regulation and Article 17.2, point m), level 4 of the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series Sporting Regulation.
