Alumitec Racing strengthened their team in preparation for their first NASCAR Euro Series season as a two-car outfit operating from their new base in Paris, France. The Canadian squad announced the arrival of not only a new driver, but also a star crew chief: Israeli Ofek Eliyahu enters the OPEN division as the driver of Alumitec’s new #48 entry, while Wayne Carroll Jr. begins his journey as a crew chief in the official European NASCAR championship.
“We are extremely proud to welcome Ofek Eliyahu to drive our #48 car,” said Alain Lord Mounir, Team Principal & CEO of Alumitec Racing. “He combines intelligence, composure, and raw speed. His mindset aligns perfectly with our philosophy: precision, hard work, and continuous progress.”
“Wayne is a true racer. He has worked with top-level drivers and knows exactly how to structure a team to perform at a consistently high level. His arrival fits perfectly with our vision of building a strong, credible organization focused on winning.”

Eliyahu carries an impressive resume from his competitive time attack stint. He first made his name in the Israeli Time Attack Championship, capturing the title in the 245-340 HP category in 2023 and continued his success in the Radical Israel Championship in 2024. The Israeli then moved to the Rookie Challenge division in 2025, capturing a second place finish in his debut at Oschersleben.
This solidifies Eliyahu’s plans to compete in NASCAR Euro Series, where he’s set to duke it out against the fastest young and amateur talents in the highly competitive OPEN division. “I am honored to represent Alumitec Racing and to drive the #48 car,” said Eliyahu. “This is a major step in my career, and I am ready to give everything for the team.”

Carroll Jr. will bring an unprecedented level of expertise that he crafted from a career that spanned for more than two decades. With more than 270 combined starts across the NASCAR Cup Series, O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and Truck Series and experience of working with star drivers such as Michael Waltrip, Elliott Sadler and Joe Nemechek, Carroll Jr. is prepared to bring Alumitec to the next level.
“Alumitec Racing is an ambitious, well-structured, and determined team,” said Carroll Jr. ‘I’ve been impressed by the long-term vision and the level of professionalism. I’m looking forward to working with the drivers and the entire staff to build something strong and competitive.”
Eliyahu and Carroll Jr.’s addition, combined with the announced signings of 2023 PRO champion Gianmarco Ercoli and team COO Romain Iannetta, signals Alumitec’s intention to become the dominant force of the upcoming 2026 season, which will start with the NASCAR GP Spain at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Valencia on 18-19 April.
