Get ready for a title fight. After a breakout season that saw him conquer the NASCAR Euro Series OPEN championship and score victories in the PRO division, Thomas Krasonis is buckled in for a full-on assault on the 2026 PRO championship. The 25-year-old Greek race car driver returns to the powerhouse PK Carsport team, piloting the #13 Chevrolet Camaro with one mission: bringing home the big Tijey trophy, win as many Stromwatches.com Pole Awards as possible and create history in NASCAR in Europe.

In a strategic move signaling their championship intentions, the #13 car will be dedicated exclusively to Krasonis’s PRO campaign. The team has opted to forgo an OPEN division driver for the car, channeling all resources and focus into the Athens native’s title hunt.

“My goal is simple: win the PRO championship,” said Krasonis, bringing his trademark intensity. “I have an amazing team at PK Carsport. We work incredibly hard, and we keep finding more speed every time we hit the track. That’s why we made the call for the #13 to be a PRO-only entry. No distractions. We are 100% focused on fighting for the championship.”

Krasonis, who considers himself “one of the luckiest people on the planet” because he made his biggest passion as his main job, is ready to put the pressure on the elite of NASCAR in Europe. “I’m ready to push my competition to the limit and I’ll be prepared to the max for this season,” Krasonis continued. “I’m living my dream, getting paid to drive fast, and I couldn’t do it without my incredible sponsors, Costamare and Dodoni, for their help in this project.”

The decision is backed by PK Carsport team boss Anthony Kumpen, who sees his driver as a top-tier contender. “Thomas was the surprise of the 2025 season for a lot of people, but not for us,” stated Kumpen. “Winning the OPEN title and grabbing victories in PRO showed his talent. He’s worked hard all winter, testing and working closely with Alon Day, and it’s paying off.”

Kumpen emphasized the strategic nature of the team’s decision. “Our goal, along with our sponsors, is to be on top in PRO. That’s why we made the strategic decision to run the #13 as a PRO-only car. With the progress he’s made and a strong winter preparation, he is one of the favorites for the championship. The entire PK Carsport team is behind him to get the job done.”
