Bruno Mulders becomes the new leader of Master Trophy after claiming his first overall OPEN victory – Thomas Dombrowski and Sandro Tavartkiladze are separated by only 13 points from the sensational young Dutchman

The Master Trophy continues to prove its success during its first year of competition in the 2025 NASCAR Euro Series OPEN season. The drivers contesting the new classification for aspiring newcomers battled with the best drivers in the OPEN division and their efforts bore fruit in the NASCAR GP Germany with Bruno Mulders becoming the first driver to win both the Master Trophy and the overall race at the same time. The Dutchman’s speed was matched by the consistency of his closest rivals Thomas Dombrowski and Sandro Tavartkiladze, all maintaining a shot at becoming the first overall winner in the Finals at Circuit Zolder.
Mulders solidified his rapid rise in the EuroNASCAR ladder with his sensational victory at Oschersleben. The 17-year old driver claimed his first Strom Watches Pole Award on qualifying and masterfully defended his lead from OPEN championship leader Thomas Krasonis in Playoffs 01 to secure his first visit to the Victory Lane. The Team Bleekemolen driver followed it up with a Master Trophy sweep on Sunday, coming just three laps away from a possible double overall wins in Germany.
Mulders therefore becomes the new overall leader of the Master Trophy with 348 points. Just six points behind him is the previous leader: Thomas Dombrowski. Dombrowski did not have the speed to match Mulders, but what he has in his pocket is consistency. A continued run of top-10 finishes in Germany keeps the PK Carsport driver in the hunt and he will be hungry for better results in Belgium.
Just seven points behind and quietly marching his way up front is another rookie: Georgia’s Sandro Tavartkiladze. Tavartkiladze has never stepped away from the top-10 positions and with consistency being key for success in the NASCAR Euro Series, the driver of the #9 Team Georgia by RDV Chevrolet Camaro is in with a chance to bring home the top prize for his nation.
Dominique Schaak is fourth in the Trophy battle and ninth overall. The German driver celebrated his contract extension with Bremotion at his home NASCAR GP to become the first competitor confirmed for the 2026 season. Florian Richard completed the top-5 positions ahead of debutants Andres Beers and Valentino Gambarotto. Club Competition teammates Jordan O’Brien and Valerio Marzi followed behind with Mike Wise, Mario Ercoli, Davide Frulio and Matthew Ellis rounding out the competitors.
Fans across Europe will be able to watch the spectacular conclusion of the Master Trophy at the NASCAR Euro Series Finals in Circuit Zolder on 11-12 October. The Belgian track’s proximity to countries such as Germany and Netherlands promises to bring fans in for a weekend of pure NASCAR racing action. All qualifying and races from the double points Playoffs will be available from the official EuroNASCAR YouTube channel and TV channels around the world.
