The four-time NASCAR Euro Series champion Alon Day continues to impress on American soil – The Israeli scored his second consecutive ARCA top-3

Four-time NASCAR Euro Series champion Alon Day delivered another standout performance in the United States, securing his second top-3 finish in the ARCA Menards Series – this time West Series – in a dramatic photo finish at the Sonoma Raceway.
The Israeli NASCAR Euro Series legend battled wheel-to-wheel with NASCAR regulars William Sawalich and Christian Eckes in a thrilling three-way showdown that came down to mere centimeters. After 65 intense laps on the iconic California road course, Day crossed the line just 0.156 seconds behind the race winner, finishing a strong third.
“It was a crazy final restart,” said Day. “I definitely had the pace to lead the race. The car was fast after a couple laps in. This is where my advantage came in. On those restarts, it was really tough to keep the pace – on the last one it was elbows out, fighting and banging.”
The dramatic battle was set up by a late-race caution that bunched up the field, giving Day one last shot at victory. After a strong showing at Lime Rock Park earlier this year – where a mid-race penalty denied him a potential win – the Sonoma result marks back-to-back top-3 finishes for the NASCAR Euro Series icon in ARCA competition.
With one more ARCA road course event on his 2025 schedule – Watkins Glen on August 9 – Day remains determined to claim his first ARCA victory. So far, he’s shown the pace, the racecraft, and the consistency to run with the best on unfamiliar American tracks.
