The NASCAR Euro Series continues to open doors to international NASCAR competition for its top drivers: Vittorio Ghirelli, current championship leader at the mid-season mark, will compete in the NASCAR Canada Series at the iconic Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres (GP3R) on August 8–10, 2025.

Ghirelli secured this unique opportunity by leading the EuroNASCAR standings after the first three events of the season, including a strong performance at the NASCAR GP UK in Brands Hatch. The initiative reflects one of the core missions of the NASCAR Euro Series: offering its drivers real, global career opportunities within the NASCAR family.
The Italian’s program will be supported by leading Canadian storage systems manufacturer Rousseau Metal and Festidrag.tv, who are teaming up to back Ghirelli’s debut on Canadian soil.
Ghirelli will land in Montreal on August 4th, and head to Circuit ICAR Mirabel on August 6th for a testing session and press conference, before continuing on to Trois-Rivieres for race weekend.

“It’s amazing to go there! I’m proud to represent the NASCAR Euro Series at such a prestigious event, with the support of incredible partners like Rousseau and Festidrag. I’ve been looking forward to pushing hard and reaching this goal. It will be cool to see another series around the world. I raced on street circuits at Montecarlo, Saint Petersburg and Long Beach but going to Canada with NASCAR is a dream come true” said Ghirelli. “Let’s go for it! I mean, I’m not going there just to have a walk, I’m going there to be among the front runners. It will be a lot of fun. See you in Trois-Rivieres race fans!”.
Ghirelli’s race weekend schedule includes:
Saturday, August 9 (local time):
- 🕛 12:00 – Practice
- 🕓 16:45 – Qualifying
Sunday, August 10 (local time):

The GP3R event is one of the highlights of the NASCAR Canada Series calendar, attracting thousands of passionate fans to the challenging street circuit in the heart of Trois-Rivieres. Ghirelli will join a competitive field of North American talent in one of the most unique and atmospheric races of the year.
