The 2025 championship reached its midpoint at the iconic Indy Circuit of Brands Hatch, where the 12th edition of the American SpeedFest thrilled 50,000 fans. In the NASCAR Euro Series PRO, the spotlight was on the Junior Trophy contenders – and they delivered. Jouffreau and Krasonis, who share the class lead, are also sitting third and fourth in the overall standings, just 18 points behind reigning champion and current leader Vittorio Ghirelli, one of the series’ most experienced drivers.

Jouffreau, the defending Junior Trophy champion and a former OPEN titleholder, races with RDV Competition – a proven force in the series. Krasonis, meanwhile, has emerged as a serious title contender this season, piloting a Chevrolet for PK Carsport. The Belgian powerhouse, led by two-time champion Anthony Kumpen, knows how to build champions, and the results speak for themselves.

Teams like RDV and PK Carsport have long been a launchpad for rising stars from around the globe. Their deep understanding of what it takes to win in one of Europe’s most competitive and toughest racing series gives their young drivers a major edge.

Another standout Junior Trophy contender is Liam Hezemans. The Dutchman, a former OPEN champion and Junior Trophy winner, holds sixth in the overall standings and sits third in the class. He’s driving for Rette Jones Racing, a team supported by the legendary Hendriks Motorsport – one of the most successful operations in NASCAR Euro Series history. Add CAAL Racing to the mix – although the Italian team currently doesn’t field a Junior Trophy driver, it’s another cornerstone of the championship and a perennial contender for wins.

But 2025 isn’t just about the established giants. New players are rising, aiming to disrupt the status quo. German outfit Bremotion is one of them. After an impressive 2023 debut season in which Tobias Dauenhauer scored two PRO victories, the team went winless in 2024 but came back stronger. This year, they’ve added another key piece: Garrett Lowe.

The American, a sim racing ace for BS+ Competition, has shown strong form this year and looks poised to challenge for podium finishes. Despite a tough weekend at Brands Hatch, Lowe delivered promising runs at Valencia and Vallelunga. Now tied in points with Hezemans for seventh overall, he shares third in the Junior Trophy rankings after six rounds.

His teammate Julien Rehberg sits tenth in the overall standings and fifth in class. The German made his series debut in 2024, quickly stepped up to PRO, and has since developed into a consistent top-10 threat.

Just outside the top-10 is Jack Davidson in 12th, a former Rookie Trophy winner hungry for more. The Scotsman leads Max Marzorati in the Junior Trophy standings, while Bruno Mulders – who made his PRO debut at Vallelunga – rounds out the class contenders.

The future of the NASCAR Euro Series is in good hands. This new generation of drivers is determined to take the fight to the front and shake up the championship. After the summer break, the stage will be set for the next showdown when the regular season wraps up at Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic on August 30-31.
