PK Carsport was the fastest organization at the 2025 NASCAR GP Italy at Autodromo di Vallelunga – The Belgian team finished 1-2 after scoring two heat wins

  • PK Carsport grabbed their first Endurance Teams Championship victory in Italy
  • Vittorio Ghirelli‘s and Thomas Krasonis‘ race wins contributed to the Belgian team’s triumph
  • PK Carsport and RDV Competition are now close together in the Endurance Teams battle

PK Carsport is no stranger to success, but the 2025 NASCAR GP Italy marked their first triumph under the current Endurance Teams Championship format. Three excellent talents driving the #13 and #24 Chevrolet Camaros and strong finishes in both PRO and OPEN were the key for the Belgian organization’s return to the top step of the podium.

PK Carsport previously won the title in 2014. However, the Belgian team has not been part of the Teams Championship battle for the past few seasons as they focused on reclaiming the PRO drivers crown. With Vittorio Ghirelli’s championship win in 2024 came the desire to bring the Endurance Teams title back to their home base in Hasselt, therefore the Belgian team entered two all-star cars which have shown their amazing speed in both Spain and Italy.

One team promising to bring the challenge to PK Carsport all the way to the end is Franck Violas’ RDV Competition. RDV knows the way in the Teams battle: they have won three titles in total and are the defending champions. The French team with their trusty #3 Ford Mustang was victorious in the previous round in Spain and backed up this performance with a third place finish in Italy, ending up only behind PK’s two entries – the #24 and the #13.

Team Bleekemolen and Club Competition put up a strong show as their #69 and #55 teams completed the top-5 results. CAAL Racing’s #88 team, Speedhouse’s #64 team, Team Bleekemolen’s #72 team, Bremotion’s #99 team and Hendriks Motorsport’s #7 team rounded out the top-10. Major squads with setbacks include Rette Jones Racing, who couldn’t maximize their results because Gil Linster battled with illness and was not fit to complete the OPEN races.

RDV and PK with their #3 and #24 teams are now tied for the lead of the Endurance Teams Championship with 74 points each and are poised to build an advantage in the next round at Brands Hatch. The #69 Team Bleekemolen sits in a nice third place, eight points behind the leading duo. PK Carsport’s #13 team and Bremotion’s #99 teams are not too far behind and are therefore fourth and fifth in the overall standings.

Managing four races across PRO and OPEN is not an easy task, but it’s a challenge that the teams are always prepared to fight for. They will do this once more on 7-8 June when EuroNASCAR returns to the legendary American SpeedFest for the 12th edition of NASCAR GP UK.
