A brand-new force is set to hit the grid in 2025 as Alumitec Racing officially announces its entry into the NASCAR Euro Series, fielding a team built on experience, ambition, and international spirit. The Canadian team will compete with the #11 Ford Mustang, with 2023 EuroNASCAR Champion Gianmarco Ercoli leading the charge in the PRO division. Alongside him, 17-year-old Italian talent Valentino Gambarotto from Abano Terme will make his international racing debut in the OPEN category, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for both the team and its drivers.

Founded and led by Team Principal Alain Lord Mounir, Alumitec Racing enters the series with bold ambitions and a clear mission: to blend North American passion for motorsport with the fierce competitiveness of European NASCAR racing. “We are thrilled to launch Alumitec Racing and to have Gianmarco on board,” said Mounir. “His championship-winning pedigree and relentless drive make him the perfect fit for our ambitions. We are here to compete at the highest level and push the boundaries of what’s possible in the NASCAR Euro Series.”
To ensure a strong technical foundation, Alumitec Racing has formed a technical alliance with CAAL Racing, one of the most successful teams in EuroNASCAR history. The partnership guarantees top-tier engineering support, a strong crew, and a competitive package for both drivers. Ercoli said: “It was a tough road, but we’re here and ready. The team is fired up, and we want revenge – we’re starting again from the strong finish we had last season. One driver said we’re just losers. Well, we’ll see. I’ve always believed that defeats, when analyzed properly, teach more than victories.”
“The bond of trust between me and the team has never cracked, and that’s essential for any driver. This winter we worked hard, alongside our new partners, and I was asked to prepare myself in the best possible way to be seriously competitive. I didn’t hesitate for a second – this project with Alumitec Racing is the greatest opportunity of my career, and I owe a lot to those who made it possible. This is the beginning of a new era, and I’m proud and honored to be part of it. Step by step, you can get anywhere – and now, it’s time to get back on track.”

Gambarotto said, “I’m really happy to take part in a series that has fascinated me since I was a child. I know I’ll be facing high-level and more experienced opponents, but I trust the experience and skill of my team to give me a car with the right setup at every race. I’ll do my best to honor the efforts of my family and the sponsors who are supporting me in this new adventure.” The young Italian will compete also for honors in the newly created Master Trophy for rookies and amateurs in the OPEN division.
With a world-class champion, a promising young talent, and a passionate new team behind them, Alumitec Racing is ready to make waves from the very first green flag. The 2025 NASCAR Euro Series season will kick off on April 12-13 at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain, with all qualifying sessions and races streamed live on the EuroNASCAR YouTube channel and broadcast worldwide.
