RDV Competition has announced its second driver for the 2025 NASCAR Euro Series season alongside shooting star Paul Jouffreau. Patrick Schober returns to the French organization led by Franck Violas to compete in the OPEN division and challenge for the overall title. The Austrian – born in Spain, living in Slovakia – has won three EuroNASCAR races in his career and is looking to make a title run in the 2025 season, which kicks off April 12-13 at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain. In addition, RDV Competition has confirmed youngster Yann Cristovao in the Rookie Challenge.

The 20-year-old finished runner-up in the 2024 season and is looking to take the next step in his quest to win one of Europe’s most prestigious championships. He will be up against reigning champion Martin Doubek, as well as many other strong contenders who have signed up for the upcoming season. RDV Competition is one of the most experienced race teams on the grid and the combination of Jouffreau and Schober has already been phenomenal in the 2024 season when both drivers were among the title contenders in both NASCAR Euro Series divisions – PRO and OPEN – and brought home the Endurance Teams Championship.
“I’m really happy to be back on the grid with RDV Competition,” he said. “Our goal is to dominate the competition. I was runner-up last season, but this year I want to move up a position and become OPEN champion. None of this would be possible without the support of my parents and Motorsportaktiv. I’m also grateful to Franck and the whole RDV Competition team for trusting me to drive the #3 Ford. We have big goals and we will do everything possible to achieve them.”

RDV Competition team manager Violas adds: “Patrick Schober will team up with our PRO driver Paul Jouffreau. He was runner-up in the OPEN category with us last year and has the potential to win the title. It would be our third in this division.” But that’s not the only driver Violas confirmed for 2025.
“For the Rookie Challenge, RDV Competition has signed a young karting driver, Yann Cristovao. He’s 17 years old and comes from Portugal. He has already shown his maturity in our winter preparation program under the guidance of our instructor and EuroNASCAR legend Frederic Gabillon, who has prepared him in the best way for the first event of the year.”
Qualifying and all races will be broadcast live on EuroNASCAR’s YouTube channel and on numerous television networks around the world. Keep an eye on the #3 Ford with two of the best drivers on the grid: Jouffreau and Schober. Cristovao will have great mentors as he takes his first steps in the Rookie Challenge – EuroNASCAR’s time attack based regularity test.
