After successfully participating in the Driver Recruitment Test, Nuno Caetano joins Speedhouse to compete in the new Rookie Challenge

Speedhouse has found a crucial piece of the puzzle for the 2025 NASCAR Euro Series season in Nuno Caetano. The Portuguese joins Lucas Lasserre’s powerhouse to compete in the brand new Rookie Challenge – a time attack based regularity test at five select events throughout the season. After participating in the 2025 Driver Recruitment Test offered by TEAM FJ, the owner, founder and promoter of EuroNASCAR, Caetano decided to take the plunge and become part of Europe’s premier touring car series.
Caetano is no newcomer to motorsport, having competed in the Isle of Man TT and the Macau Grand Prix on a motorcycle. He also has experience in rally and GT racing. As a result, he’s expected to have a steep learning curve and a good pace right from the start. “Thanks to the NASCAR Euro Series scholarship program, I was introduced to these amazing cars,” he said. “I found both: enjoyment and a challenge to drive.”
“I’m not a novice, as my motorsport experience includes the Isle of Man TT and the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix. From 2018, I shifted my focus to rallying and took part in the National Rally Championship from 2019 to 2021. I also participated in the Porsche GT3 Cup Portugal and the National Mountain Championship in the Prototype category. Recently, I also took part in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, the legendary American race. I decided to adapt to the series by joining Speedhouse in the Rookie Challenge for my first year. I immediately felt a great connection with the management and am eager to make my debut in Valencia.”
Lasserre, who is building a strong lineup for the 2025 NASCAR Euro Series season, is pleased to have filled every single cockpit in his team: “We are delighted to welcome Nuno to Speedhouse for the 2025 Rookie Challenge season.
