Gentleman drivers are the core of amateur and semi-professional motorsports. Max Lanza will return to the #88 Chevrolet Camaro to chase the Challenger Trophy in the PRO division, while Roberto Benedetti will look to win the Legend Trophy in the OPEN category. The Italian powerhouse unveiled the newly designed car at a release party in Rome, Italy. The presentation was held at the stunning Appia Antica Park in front of over a hundred VIP guests, friends and sponsors.

Lanza joined the NASCAR Euro Series in 2018, and has competed in numerous races in both divisions since his debut. In 2024, the 40-year-old almost won the Challenger Trophy, finishing just three points behind Dario Caso. He has a total of six career class wins and his goal is to bring the big trophy home to Rome. “I’m ready to fight for the Challenger Trophy again and finish in the top 10 overall,” he said. “Last year it was painful to lose the title so close, but this year I am determined to leave no stone unturned and give my best in every race. The goal is clear: to win.”

Benedetti was injured in a crash at Brands Hatch in 2024, but has worked hard to come back stronger. The Italian raced in the championship for the first time in 2015 and is eager to make his mark in the 2025 season. The 50-year-old wants both, winning the Legend Trophy for drivers aged 45 and over and a shot at the OPEN title. “2024 was a complicated year for me because of the injury, but now I’m ready to recover and come back stronger than ever,” he said. “My goal is to fight for the overall title in the OPEN division and to grab the Legend title, a goal that motivates me a lot.”
