EuroNASCAR legend Frederic Gabillon and Arthur Roche will drive the #25 test car in the EuroNASCAR Finals – The car will race outside every classification
A competitive test is the best way to try out new developments and parts to compare them to the current settings. This is why the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series entered an official test team in the EuroNASCAR Finals at Circuit Zolder in Belgium. EuroNASCAR legend Frederic Gabillon and rookie Arthur Roche will pilot the #25 Ford Mustang to test unrevealed parts that the series plans to implement in the 2025 season and beyond.
Which parts will be tested will remain confidential but the sporting regulations have been adjusted to avoid the testing team having an impact on the championship. The official note issued by EuroNASCAR explains how the car will appear in the standings, the overall race results and be treated on track. The technical aspect will be announced in due course.
TEAM FJ, organizer of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, will enter a test car in the NASCAR Finals at Circuit Zolder to test new technical upgrades for the 2025 season. This #25 car will participate in EuroNASCAR PRO, EuroNASCAR 2 and Club Challenge sessions with following modalities:
- Car #25 is considered a non-championship car and non-points scoring car.
- Car #25 will appear in classifications but will not be eligible to participate in podium ceremonies and to earn points nor prize money.
- During Qualifying, if the #25 car qualifies for Superpole, it will become the 11th car participating in addition to the regular top-10 drivers.
- Cars qualify for Superpole like the #25 car is not present.
- Whatever position car #25 qualifies, it will start all races last on the grid.
- The #25 car may be requested to come back to pit-road before the end of the races.
