Martin Doubek will compete his home race at Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic – The Litomysl native wants to end the regular season on a high note

Home races are always special for NASCAR Whelen Euro Series drivers, and Martin Doubek went full throttle to promote the event at Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic. The Litomysl native has been displaying the #7 Ford Mustang in one of his Orion shops for the past few weeks to get people excited about Europe’s most spectacular touring car championship. The current EuroNASCAR 2 points leader is looking to finish the regular season on a high note and build a comfortable lead over the other title contenders heading into the 2024 EuroNASCAR playoffs.

“In addition to displaying the car in our Orion shop, we had a pit stop challenge at one of my friend’s festivals,” said Doubek of his strategy to make EuroNASCAR even more popular in the Czech Republic. “It was a huge success and a lot of fans came to see us there.” Being the local hero in front of tens of thousands of fans pushes Doubek to his limits, but he also has to deal with a lot of pressure.

“It’s a little bit of both, motivation and pressure,” he said. “I’m super motivated to win my home race. My family, friends and colleagues will be at Most to see me race. It’s a little extra pressure for sure. I’m confident about this season and I’m sure we can get good results at the Autodrom Most.” One of the highlights will be the parade into the center of Most on Thursday. The V8 beasts will be driven on public roads and the drivers will be available for talks, autographs and photos – including local hero Doubek.

Despite a busy schedule at his home race, Doubek is focused on his quest for a second EuroNASCAR 2 title. The Czech could become the first driver ever to win two EuroNASCAR 2 championships. “The season is going well,” he said. “The car is in great shape and I feel very good. Of course, I need a little bit of luck to stay out of trouble. In EuroNASCAR you cannot predict what will happen. I just have to stay focused and go for it.”
