“I’m very happy that again I will be at the start of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series in 2019,” said Goossens. “The deal with Braxx racing for 2019 is a logical step of what we have build in the past years. Some partnerships have to be finalized, but our intention is to take part in the complete season to be finalized.”

“Braxx Racing has been ‘my family away from my family’ for years and we have a very pleasant cooperation,” continued to Goossens. “A huge thank you goes to the mechanics, who had to build the car for Jerry and me in such a short time due to the late confirmation of this deal. I hope to be be able to reward them soon with a good result. Finally I would like to express my gratitude you to all my partners, those at the forefront as well as those behind the scenes, and I hope that we will be able to shine together in this hugely competitive year!”

“ I´m excited to be on the grid in the season opener at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia this Saturday,” said De Weerdt. “It has always been the intention to make another start in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. It only depended on the sponsors if we could make it happen, and we finally did.”

“I learned that some very fast drivers have been added to the Elite 2 this year so the bar will be even higher. Nonetheless I will do everything, together with the whole Braxx Racing team, to retain my title this year,“ concluded De Weerdt. “I would also like to thank my longtime sponsors Frankische Rohrwerke and Begetube for their support. And of course our guys from Braxx Performance, who always succeed in bringing a fast car to the track!”

The opening weekend of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series will take place at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in the Spanish city of Valencia on April 13-14.
